Ruth is a watercolour illustrator from a little village In Nottinghamshire. She specialises in children’s picture books and editorial work, with the emphasis on Environmental causes. Her inspiration is nature, animals and botanicals. Ruth uses watercolour paints and pencils with surface pattern to add texture, mark making and painterly brushstrokes, which add detail into her work, this works especially well with the subjects she illustrates for. She is currently illustrating her own first author/ illustrator nature book called ‘The Gardening Angel’.
